Senior Speech Language Pathologist / Adults/ Full-Time

The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders on our CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, in acute care, intensive care, and in the outpatient setting. Be exposed to the highest acuity conditions while caring for the swallowing and communication needs of medically complex patients. This is a Full-Time position working Sunday-Thursday from 8:30am-4:30pm at the Columbia campus. You are also required to work 2 Holidays per year. This position may float to the Allen Hospital as needed.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience managing tracheostomy-ventilator dependent patients
  • Experience in evaluation and treatment of neurogenic communication disorders
  • Flexible to move between different units and patient types as needed

Required Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association
  • New York State licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 
  • Minimum 3 + years of clinical work experience in the hospital setting
  • Competency in complex dysphagia management in the acute care setting
  • Competency in Videofluoroscopy and/or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing

Salary Range:

$56.39-$60.82/Hourly
