Financial Coordinator - Financial Clearance

The Financial Coordinator reviews patient benefits to determine the estimated out-of-pocket costs for patient care on an individual basis and informs patients of available resources for charges incurred, as needed. The Coordinator performs preliminary financial screening, identifying red flags prior to consultation/evaluation and advises patient of findings prior to initial encounter. The Coordinator performs comprehensive financial screening of medical, professional, rehabilitation, and home health and prescription drug benefits following initial authorization clearance. Meets in person with patients and family members, and reviews possible financial liabilities identified during the in-depth analysis. Acknowledges additional issues that may arise during the meeting with patient and family. Provides coverage options for potential patients who have been identified with insurance coverage issues. Provides detailed written documentation of financial responsibility after meeting with patients.

This is a full time Monday - Friday day (8:30am - 4:30pm) position located at our 463 7th Avenue Location.

Preferred Criteria

  • Knowledge CPT/ICD10

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED  
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or significant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Five years related experience
  • Knowledge of third party reimbursement (contracting and non-contracting) and eligibility requirements for all subsidy programs
  • Knowledge of Commercial/Government coverage
  • Knowledge/ability to obtain insurance benefit verification

Salary Range:

$62,000-$87,500/Annual
