Physical Therapist

At NYP, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility.  We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our impressive facilities include state of the art exercise equipment, treatment space, advanced technologies such as the Bioness L300 Go, Lite Gait and the Bertec Balance Master.  Our work continues to help patients reach their full potential.  

Join our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality rehabilitation for our patients throughout the continuum of care including acute care, ambulatory surgery, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation.  Explore our many innovative programs including Burn Rehabilitation, Orthopedic/Trauma, Neurological Rehab, Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy, early mobilization in our ICUs and Ambulatory Surgery. Outpatient Rehabilitation includes working in our Spine Center or in our Musculoskeletal/Neurological rehabilitation area. Help us build on our reputation as one of New York’s best hospitals. 

Annual rotations include working on our many acute care units, ambulatory surgery, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation. This is a full-time position.  Schedule will be determined based on rotation and will include Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.  A varying shift of 8:30am - 4:30pm and 10:30- 6:30 will be required.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience with adult acute care and surgical protocols.

  • Experience in ICU settings.

  • Cardio-pulmonary experience.

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.  

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.  

  • Limited Permit as per New York State Practice Act for Physical Therapists OR New York State Physical Therapist License.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

  • Knowledge of Physical Therapy practices.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$105,000-$126,000/Annual
