Bring your talents and superior customer service skills to our tight-knit team and provide the support our laboratory department needs by providing physicians, clients, and patients with laboratory test data in accordance with established procedures.  Provide value by visiting clients at their offices periodically and maintaining constant contact with them via the phone.  Furthermore, receive inquiries directly from patients, perform a daily review of client lab orders for clinical accuracy, and intervene immediately on all identified problems.  Collaborate with our various lab departments and clients to provide effective solutions in an efficient matter.  Join our team today and bring your customer service skills into the heart of patient care.

This is a full-time position working 4 10-hour shifts per week. Rotating holidays. No weekends.

Preferred Criteria

  • Laboratory Processing experience

  • Strong data entry proficiency

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Medical billing knowledge including ICD-9 codes, Medicare/Medicaid

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to deal effectively with individuals in person and via phone in a pleasant and cordial manner

  • At least two years of prior work experience, preferably in a health care setting, dealing directly with the public and handling high volume telephone inquiries

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$24.85-$34.50/Hourly
