Operations Manager - Oncology- Hudson Valley
The Oncology Service Line at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital provides best-in-class care for cancer patients. The Manager of Oncology Operations is responsible for the efficient clinical and administrative operations within NYP/Hudson Valley Hospitals. The Operations Manager will develop and implements strategic intra-and inter-departmental interventions to support the growth of services and mission of the hospital. Responsible for operational workflows of oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion services including patient access, provider support, and cancer center programs. Has oversight of Operation’s staff and responsibility for organizing and monitoring system performance and departmental operations.
Preferred Criteria:
- Master's degree
- Oncology experience preferred with hematology-oncology, infusion and/or radiation oncology.
- Practice management experience desired.
- Supervisory/managerial experience preferred. There are about 15 direct reports plus oversight for 5 Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
- Extensive knowledge of infusion operations; including handling prior-authorizations, scheduling/managing patients - requiring both oncology and non-oncology medications.
- Skilled and organized in managing purchase orders, financial variance reports, and leading teams.
- Proficient with compiling and analyzing data to develop and implement process improvement initiatives, utilizing lean methodology to improve or enhance clinical and/or operational performance.
Required Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administrative
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Computer programming skills
- Health Administration/Quality Improvement
- Management and Financial Skills
- Understanding of Dynamic Healthcare Environment
- Experience in hospital operations, financial management and strategic planning

Salary Range:
