Lead Central Sterile Processing Technician - Central Sterile Supply - Evenings

As a Lead to CSPD technicians, you will serve as a resource to all Central Processing staff and customers. Oversee workload. Ensure all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a quality/timely manner throughout the hospital. This is a full time position working 3:00pm-11:00pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. There is a weekend call and week night call requirement. The holiday call requirement is rotated.

Preferred Criteria

  • Prior experience in Central Sterile

  • Secondary Certifications: Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certification, Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification, or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) certification

Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma of GED

  • Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization technique, infection control requirements, and a basic knowledge of med/surg procedure terminology

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$25.00-$36.50/Hourly
