Social Work Supervisor – Westchester Behavior Health Center
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and provide psychiatric and psychosocial assessments. Deliver therapeutic interventions, psycho-education, and individual and family group therapy in an inpatient setting. Advocate for your patients and provide discharge planning tailored to the needs of our patients. Provide supervision for the social work team and interns on the unit. This is a full-time day shift at our NewYork Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center.
Preferred Criteria
Prior supervisory experience
Required Criteria
Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
3+ years of experience as a licensed Social Worker in a psychiatric setting
Experience with a broad range of psychopathology and thorough understanding of the phenomenology, dynamics and treatment of the program’s patient and family population. Proficient in establishing DSM diagnoses and behavioral risk factors
Advanced capacity to conduct and supervise bio-psychosocial evaluations and family interventions
Advanced competency in individual, family and group treatment modalities and techniques
Administrative and organizational skill and ability to effectively participate in the administration and ongoing operation of the unit or program
Knowledge base, conceptual skills and interpersonal sensitivity sufficient to foster the professional growth and development of supervisees
Knowledge base of community and discharge planning resources and processes
Skills in public relations and in referral source development
Effective communication skills

Salary Range:
