A state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains—a center designed to set new standards in patient experience, convenience, and quality care. Led by top Columbia doctors, this multi-disciplinary facility will offer a wide range of specialized adult and pediatric care all under one roof.

Join our Perioperative Services Team, and help us deliver superior customer service to our diverse local community. Our mission is to provide our greater community with excellence in operative care, patient safety, education, clinical research, and science. As part of this mission, the Patient Navigator seeks to empower and educate patients on how best to access and utilize healthcare services; to support patients and their caregivers to achieve a successful plan for continuity of care; and to optimize appropriate health and social service resources.
The Patient Navigator functions as the primary care coordinator for patients and collaborates with key clinical staff to ensure comprehensive care and treatment. Coordinates appointments, provides logistical support, responsible for booking surgical procedures, acts as a liaison between the patient and surgical team, directs patient inquires to appropriate staff, and facilitates collection of medical records, insurance and financial information. Position includes direct contact and communication with patient, in person, on telephone or via e-mail.
This is a full time position working Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/The One in White Plains, NY. Weekends and holidays are not required.
Preferred Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in health care setting working directly with patients
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Diverse and culturally sensitive customer service skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
