Neurology Technician – EMG

This a part-time position, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (Mondays and Wednesdays), located at 685 White Plains Road, Eastchester NY.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Neurology Technician – EMG to join our outpatient neurology team. This role is focused exclusively on performing nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) procedures under the supervision of a neurologist. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient neurodiagnostic testing and a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. Under the supervision of the management team, performs monitoring studies, nerve conduction studies and assists neurologists by performing diagnostic tests such as NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) procedures as ordered by the supervising physician.

• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the testing process, and ensure patient comfort throughout.

• Operate and maintain EMG equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality recordings.

• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in accordance with clinic protocols.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Note: This position is specific to EMG/NCS testing and does not include responsibilities related to EEG, evoked potentials, epilepsy monitoring, sleep studies, intraoperative monitoring, or transcranial Doppler studies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Advanced training or neuroscience coursework

Licensure/Certifications

• Registration in a relevant field within one year of hire (i.e., Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists or equivalent; Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologists (R.NCS.T); CNCT certification.
