Join our staff and provide the finest cuisine in health care. As our cook in the Main Kitchen be responsible in preparing meats, vegetables, hot cereals, soups etc. Follow recipes and specifications using correct methods of preparation and equipment. Meet scheduled deadlines for delivery and service and maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and equipment.

How will the event work? All interviews will be completed during the event. Come prepared to tell us about yourself and speak personally with leadership from some of our Food & Nutrition Department at NYP.

You will also meet with a representative from our Talent Acquisition team. This is your chance to make a lasting impression on our hiring team.

Who is invited to this event? Qualified candidates will have extensive customer services experience, and experience as a cook.

Preferred Criteria 

• Graduate from a formal technical school specializing in volume cooking or culinary experience
• Experience in high quality hot and cold food preparation 

Required Criteria 

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience as a cook.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
