Transporter - Full-Time - Evening - Weekends/Weekdays/Holidays

Location: NewYork-Presbyterian Queens – Flushing, NY

At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, our Transporters play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment for patients and their families. From warm greetings to attentive service, you’ll be a key part of the patient experience—helping ensure comfort, dignity, and care every step of the way.

What You’ll Do:

• Escort patients throughout the hospital with courtesy and care

• Respond promptly and politely to patient needs and questions

• Build meaningful connections with patients and families

• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure patient safety

• Transport medical records, lab specimens, equipment, and more

• Change O2 tanks and apply O2 regulators as needed

Schedule Details:

• Full-Time Evening Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

• Days/Week: Weekdays and Weekends (alternating)

• Holidays Required

• Weekends required for the first 2 years.

Required Criteria:

• Must be able to read and write English

• Ability to follow simple directions

• Basic clerical skills for logging patient names and destinations

• Planning skills to efficiently route patient transports

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Strong customer service background

• Experience in hospitality or healthcare environments

• A passion for putting patients first

*The shift includes weekdays, weekends and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
