Senior Patient Registrar - GYN Oncology - Queens Medical Group
As a Senior Patient Registrar, you’ll play a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Registering patients and scheduling appointments and procedures
Answers and directs incoming calls
Gathering demographic and insurance information
Obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations
Ensuring complete patient checkout, and follow up on physician's orders
Providing guidance and support to fellow administrative staff
Serving as a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care journey
This is a full time 36.25 scheduled hour weekly, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed. The position is based out of two locations, Forest Hills and Astoria in Queens.
Preferred Criteria:
Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
Experience working in a busy medical practice.
Epic experience
Required Criteria:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
Proficient in computer skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
