Physician Assistant - Orthopedics/Rehab - Queens Medical Group - Jackson Heights - Full-time, Days

The Orthopedic Outpatient Practice at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Medical Group offers a wide range of services for patients of all ages. Our vision is to provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical care through interdisciplinary teamwork. We are committed to impacting our patients and the community through a highly engaged, skilled, and empathetic team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic and rehabilitation care to patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
  • Administer injections, perform minor procedures, and order diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, self-care techniques, and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant related studies.
  • Current and valid New York State Physician Assistant (PA) license.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Current ACLS/BLS certification.
  • Current New York State Infection Control certification.

Preferred Criteria:

  • 1-2 years of experience in orthopedics or rehabilitation.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Schedule:

This position is in Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week in office located in Jackson Heights, NY

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$152,000-$175,500/Annual
