  Patient Registrar - NYP Medical Group Queens - Urology - Day Shift

Assist patients with questions and concerns, keep families informed, light up the room with your presence while making the promise of putting patients first a reality.   Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details, insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients obtaining services. You will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.

  This is a Full Time Monday-Friday position within NYP Queens Medical Group. Shifts ranging from 8a-4p, 830a-430p and 9a-5p,overtime as needed. Shift could change based on operational needs. Located in downtown Flushing.

  May be required to cover for other practices within Queens Medical Group based on operational needs.

  Preferred Criteria

  • Some college
  • Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements
  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4
  • Urology experience
  • Bilingual - Mandarin/Cantonese or Korean speaking

  Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of clerical experience
