Patient Registrar - Multispecialty Practice - Queens Medical Group

As aPatient Registrar, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, handling:

• Providing a reassuring presence during the patient experience

• Demographic and insurance information collection

• Registration for procedures and appointments

• Schedules and maintains daily appointments

• Collects co-payments and fees

• Check eligibility in real time

• Scheduling and pre-certification/authorization

This is a full-time (36.25 hours/week), 7am - 3pm (hours may vary to accommodate the needs of the operation and may include Saturday coverage). This position is located in Forest Hills, Queens.

Preferred Criteria:

• Some college coursework

• Experience working in a busy medical practice.

• Familiarity with Epic

• Experience with insurance authorization

• Bilingual in Spanish

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience.
