Patient Care Coordinator – Radiation Oncology

As a Patient Care Coordinator in our Radiation Oncology Department, you’ll be a vital part of delivering compassionate, efficient, and patient‑centered care. Be the welcoming presence patients rely on, the organized partner clinicians trust, and the positive energy that keeps our department running smoothly.
This schedule for this position is Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our administrative support team, you will:
- Warmly greet and direct patients, families, staff, visitors, and vendors.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars with accuracy and care.
- Enter patient demographic information and upload medical records promptly and correctly.
- Answer, route, and triage phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Support physicians and clinical staff with various administrative needs.
- Take minutes during departmental meetings and distribute documentation.
- Retrieve medical and billing records as needed.
- Obtain insurance authorization for diagnostic imaging and other services.

Required Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills that support departmental efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
