Patient Access Representative – Orthopedic Surgery 

Register patients for various procedures and appointments, and feel proud to go above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information including pre-certifications and authorizations, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.

This position is a Monday - Friday variable day shift (based on department need (8am-4pm, 8:30a-4:30pm, 9am-5pm) at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Preferred Criteria

• Some college coursework completed
• Familiarity with health insurance requirements and clinical coding
• Bilingual language skills – Spanish

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of clerical experience
• Computer skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
