The clinical laboratories operate 24 hours a day and perform more than four million individual tests annually. Laboratory Supervisor - Microbiology

As a Microbiology Lab Supervisor at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, you will oversee the daily operations of the Microbiology laboratory. In this important role, you’ll maintain a daily schedule of personnel to ensure all sections of the laboratory are adequately staffed for the specimen volume and oversee laboratory staff in the performance of qualitative and quantitative test procedures. Here you'll have the opportunity to work with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results.

Take on this critical leadership position and serve as a role model and educational resource, fostering an environment of collaboration, creativity, research, and continuous learning. Leveraging your strong interpersonal skills, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for the nursing units and physicians as your interface with staff across the hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Masters degree
• ASCP certification 

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree  
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York State Education Department 
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with a Master’s degree
