Medical Surgical Technician – Queens Medical Group – Neurosurgery

In this role, the Medical Surgical Technician (MST) will perform a variety of clinical and clerical functions in accordance with established policies and procedures to support practitioners and management in daily office operations. Duties will include prepping patient charts to ensure all medical records are available prior to the visit, prepping patients and assisting patients in the exam room, performing triage, collects urine and draw blood samples and take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients. It also includes answering clinical phone calls and monitoring physician schedules.

This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibilities. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime as needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Medical Assistant in a surgery healthcare setting
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• National Medical Assistant Certification
• Current CMA or RMA certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese)

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
