Medical Physicist Assistant – Radiation Oncology

We are seeking a Medical Physicist Assistant to support our Radiation Oncology team—helping ensure the highest standards of safety, precision, and quality in cancer treatment. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced medical physicists and contribute directly to the accuracy and effectiveness of advanced radiation therapy.

As a Medical Physicist Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team—helping ensure that every treatment is delivered safely and precisely. Your work directly impacts patient outcomes and supports cutting-edge cancer therapies. Your responsibilities will include participating in patient and machine specific quality assurance, treatment planning, and data collection and analysis, among other tasks.

What You’ll Do

  • Support daily quality assurance (QA) for radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and CT simulators
  • Assist with patient-specific QA testing to verify treatment accuracy
  • Help maintain and track physics equipment, calibrations, and records
  • Contribute to clinical trial data collection and reporting
  • Participate in treatment planning QA and workflow support
  • Assist with special procedures such as brachytherapy and advanced radiation treatments
  • Collaborate with physicists, dosimetry teams, and clinical staff to ensure seamless operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • Foundational knowledge of radiation physics principles
  • Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and under supervision in a clinical environment
  • Clear communication skills and a commitment to patient safety

$85,000-$115,000/Annual
