LPN/Medical Practice Practical Nurse - Multispecialty Practice - Queens Medical Group
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contribute to care planning, and help create a therapeutic environment that supports healing and recovery.This is your opportunity to grow in a collaborative setting, make a difference in patients’ lives, and be part of a team committed to excellence in care.
In this role, you will:
Observes and records progress, symptoms, reactions, complaints, interventions in the EMR as appropriate. Reports changes in patients’ condition to provider.
May assist office with answering incoming calls. Gathers appropriate data for RN or providers from patient prior to call hand off.
Contacts patients as delegated by provider to advise them of test results and/or relays physician instructions
Administers medication per scope and training as delegated by Nurse Clinician or select healthcare provider
Provides direct patient care with scope and as delegated by nurse clinician or health care provider such as ear irrigation, vaccine and medication administration, wound care and suture/staple removal
Patient Education: Instructs the patient and family on how to perform physician recommended preventative care. Instructs patients on correct medication self-administration; provides educational materials as needed
Performs other job-related duties as required.
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday with varied hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with the possibility of evenings, or weekends as needed. Based at our Forest Hills practice, you may also travel to support other locations, ensuring continuity of care across our network.
Preferred Criteria:
At least one-year of experience as an LPN
Previous experience in an outpatient setting
Required Criteria:
Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current Licensure and registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
BLS Certification with American Heart Association
Knowledge in Principles of infection control, performance improvements and delegation

Salary Range:
