Transform your career within the Department of Pastoral Care at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, while being responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the delivery of pastoral care services and pastoral education. Support families as they make difficult care decisions. Visit hospital units, lead support groups, and be the strong source of guidance and compassion for patients facing life-altering conditions.
COORDINATOR PASTORAL CARE /PASTORAL EDUCATION
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Chaplain to oversee, implement, and serve the religious and spiritual care offered to patients, their loved ones and staff. This role also serves as a resource to colleagues, providing education on religious needs and observances according to various faith traditions.
Join a dedicated team of staff members and help impact the lives of patients from across the world. Lead a team of staff chaplains, part time and per diem chaplains, contracted chaplains and volunteer chaplains. Supervise programs of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education in accordance with acknowledged professional standards.
This position is a full-time day shift (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).
REQUIRED CRITERIA
•Master's Degree or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent education required.
•Board Certification preferred.
•Must have Certification as an Associate Certified Educator or a Certified Educator by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education
•Three or more years of professional experience preferred
•If ordained, must be in good standing with ordaining body
•Leadership experience required
