Clinical Nurse Manager - Neuro ICU
NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, a recipient of the 2021 Healthgrades Neurosurgery Excellence Award and a designated Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, offers patients access to advanced neurological and neurosurgical care right here in Queens! Our team of Weill Cornell Medicine neuro-intensivists, neurosurgeons and neurologists provide the highest quality of care - applying their expertise, modern imaging techniques, and advanced therapies to diagnose and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. Our team of specialty-trained neurocritical care providers works closely together to customize a treatment plan that meets each patient's specific medical needs.
In July 2023, NYP Queens opened a brand new, state-of-the-art 8-bed, Neuro ICU flex Step-down unit, making it the only hospital in Queens with a Neuro ICU. Providing critical care for patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, this new unit will have a dedicated CT scanner, video EEGs, and a patient lift in each room. Our staff will provide comprehensive and patient-centered care, with the advanced skills required to deliver world-class care. Now you have the opportunity to join this life-saving team!
Bring your passion for team-building to our Neuro ICU unit, offering comprehensive care with a human touch. Clinical Nurse Managers coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services to our patients. Assist with unit administration, including the management of staffing needs. Counsel staff RN's on a regular basis, providing clinical education and conducting follow-up procedures as necessary. Foster collaboration and independent thinking. Lead and round with the staff. Mentor, coach, and implement performance and quality improvement.
This is a Full Time Evening Position. Shift is 11A - 11P or 12P - 12A located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11335.
Preferred Criteria
Master's degree
Required Criteria
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current New York State registration to practice nursing
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
Demonstrated leadership competencies
Previous clinical expertise within Critical Care

Salary Range:
