Certified Medical Assistant – OBGYN – Full-Time – Queens

Our busy OBGYN outpatient office on Horace Harding Expressway is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant with a strong background in women’s health, family planning, and reproductive healthcare. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and making every patient feel welcomed, supported, and respected.

As a Medical Assistant in this fast-paced environment, you’ll be a cornerstone of our care team—ensuring smooth operations while providing compassionate, professional service.

This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, with varied hours and weekend shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient intake, including histories, vital signs, and screenings
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures and OR bookings for surgical procedures
  • Support Manual Vacuum Aspiration procedures for first trimester abortion care
  • Ensure proper use of Trophon for high-level disinfection of vaginal probes
  • Adhere to infection control standards and clean equipment and exam rooms between patients
  • Perform phlebotomy and process specimens
  • Manage patient flow and scheduling to minimize wait times
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EPIC)
  • Collaborate with or serve as medical chaperones during exams
  • Educate patients and families to support their care journey
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in women’s health, family planning, or reproductive healthcare
  • BLS certification
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR
  • Bilingual in English, Mandarin, Cantonese

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduation from a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, including proficiency in phlebotomy
  • Must own a stethoscope and be flexible to stay beyond shift hours as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills for charting, record keeping, and supply management
