Certified Medical Assistant – Float – Full-Time – Queens
Adult & Pediatric/Family Medicine/OBGYN
Join our dynamic Primary Care Center, where we provide comprehensive services in Adult & Pediatric Primary Care, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and specialties like Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, and Allergy. We’re also home to the NYP/Queens Residency Program and Employee Testing PCR Swabbing.
Here, you’ll be more than a Medical Assistant — you’ll be a trusted guide and a vital part of our care team. From coordinating appointments and managing patient records to assisting with exams, blood draws, and vital signs, you’ll help ensure every visit runs smoothly. Your welcoming presence will set the tone for a positive experience, whether greeting patients or supporting colleagues.
You’ll also play a key role in:
- Preparing patients for exams and procedures
- Performing non-invasive diagnostics and therapeutic tasks
- Educating patients and families to support their care journey
- Maintaining accurate records and supplies in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Preferred Criteria
2-3 years of experience
Experience in outpatient or family practice setting
Familiarity with Nurse Practitioners
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Required Criteria
High School Diploma or GED
Graduation from a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Assistant program, with certification as a Medical Assistant
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, with proficiency in phlebotomy
Must own a stethoscope and be available to stay beyond the end of the shift when needed
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
Strong planning and organizational abilities for charting, record keeping, and managing supplies

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
