Certified Medical Assistant – Float Adult & Pediatric/Family Medicine/OBGYN – Full-Time – Queens

Our Primary Care Center offers comprehensive Adult & Pediatric Primary Care services, along with specialized care in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, and Allergy. It also houses the NYP/Queens Residency Program and provides Employee Testing PCR Swabbing. Many of the procedures, including colonoscopies, are coordinated here before patients are referred for further care at the hospital.

As a Medical Assistant, you'll be the cornerstone of patient care, delivering compassionate service while ensuring our fast-paced environment runs smoothly. You’ll coordinate appointments, handle administrative tasks, and ensure accurate patient information flow. You will assist practitioners and management in preparing patients for examinations, conducting blood draws, and taking vital signs as per established protocols. Your warm and professional demeanor will create an inviting atmosphere as you welcome visitors and colleagues, directing them to the appropriate areas. You’ll manage multiple responsibilities with ease, while also organizing patient care, reviewing medical histories, and performing non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to standard protocols. Additionally, you’ll provide essential patient and family education to support their care journey.

This is a full-time position working Monday–Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm, 8:30am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in an outpatient setting or with family practice care
• Familiarity with Nurse Practitioners, especially Family Nurse Practitioners, in an outpatient environment
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Required Criteria 

• Graduation from a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Assistant program, with certification as a Medical Assistant
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, with proficiency in phlebotomy
• Must own a stethoscope and be available to stay beyond the end of the shift when needed
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
• Strong planning and organizational abilities for charting, record keeping, and managing supplies
