Social Work Supervisor – Outpatient Behavioral Health

The Social Work Supervisor will provide clinical supervision and direct care in NYP’s  behavioral health programs. The candidate should have supervision experience and clinical experience with high risk/acuity individuals and families. The candidate should have demonstrated success in working with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory, compliance, and quality standards, and tracking and managing programmatic deliverables. Role responsibilities include daily team huddles and providing close individual supervision and ongoing support, to include coverage on-site or in the field depending on program needs.  In addition, the supervisor may carry a case load as needed.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Bilingual Spanish  
  • Significant experience in crisis management with behavioral health patients
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledgeable in one or more evidenced based practices: DBT, CBT, PMT

Required Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Experience with a broad range of psychopathology
  • Experience with a broad range of psychopathology and thorough understanding of the phenomenology, dynamics and treatment of the program's patient and family population
  • Advanced capacity to conduct and supervise psychosocial evaluations and family interventions
  • Advanced competency in individual, family and group treatment modalities and techniques
  • Administrative and organizational skill and ability to effectively participate in the administration and ongoing operation of the unit or programs
  • Knowledge base, conceptual skills and interpersonal sensitivity sufficient to foster the professional growth and development of supervisees
  • Knowledge of Bio-psychosocial model
  •  Knowledge of Communication skills
    Knowledge of Supervisory skills
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$95,500-$132,000/Annual
