At NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, our Speech-Language Pathologists help patients with serious communication and swallowing impairments reconnect with the world around them. Our dedicated team brings leading expertise in dysphagia and communication disorders, supporting patients across acute care, intensive care, inpatient rehabilitation, and our fast-paced Emergency Department. Every day, we are looking for better ways to help patients flourish — and now, you can become one of the people who Make It Possible.
In this senior role, you will evaluate and treat ADULT OUTPATIENTS with communication and swallowing disorders, while also providing intervention to patients on our CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, acute care areas, ICU, and the ED. In this full-time Tuesday–Saturday role, you will primarily evaluate and treat ADULT OUTPATIENTS with communication, speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders — including conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies — four days per week (Tuesday through Friday).
On Saturdays, and as needed during the week, you will provide coverage for acute care and our CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, supporting high-acuity patients across a wide range of medically complex conditions.
This schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm at CUIMC (177 Fort Washington, New York, NY 10032), and the role requires a minimum of two holiday shifts per year. Coverage at the Allen Hospital (5141 Broadway, New York, NY 10034) may be required based on operational needs.
