Step into this critical role to lead population health access improvement, quality improvement, healthcare transformation initiatives, and strategic projects within the Division of Community and Population Health and the Ambulatory Care Network.  Your skills in data management, project planning, and relationship building will be key for fostering and developing collaborative relationships with NYPH clinical, operational, and programmatic leadership at Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Analyst – Ambulatory Care Network – Cornell

The Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Analyst will support population health programs, project management, quality improvement, and oversee data collection, preparation, and distribution to multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to launch programs, initiate quality improvement interventions, gather necessary data, develop presentations, and present during quality meetings. The individual will also partner with enterprise technology teams to develop IT solutions and create plans for data exploration, access, fulfillment, and sustainability. Demonstrating strong critical thinking skills, identifying challenges and opportunities, and taking the initiative to develop solutions. Communicating in writing and presenting during meetings will be important to the role, including the ability to contextualize data plan models, describe options for data solutions, troubleshoot data development challenges, extrapolate findings after data is accessible, and visualize data for broad audiences.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in public health or related field
  • Project management experience
  • Data management knowledge
  • Data visualization experience
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • Foundational SQL knowledge

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
  • Strong research and analytical skills including collecting, analyzing and summarizing data into identifiable trends in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience supporting Quality and Performance Improvement Specialist.
  • Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills

$66,300-$89,000/Annual
