Program Lead - Grants - Government and Community Affairs - Full Time - Days

The Government, Community Affairs and Grants Department is looking for a Program Lead – Grant individual to join its team. Under the direction of the Grants Manager, the Program Lead – Grants, is responsible for grant coordination with stakeholders across the enterprise as well as with the government agency grantors and associated contracting entities. This includes collaboration with all relevant departments including but not limited to programmatic leads across locations and service lines, the Office of Legal Affairs and Finance to ensure accurate and timely filings related to grants.
Essential Job Duties:
- Identify grant opportunities to match with programmatic needs through “prospecting.”
- Meet with program teams across campuses and service lines to learn about their financial and programmatic needs, identify gaps in funding, and inform them of opportunities.
- Search Local, State, and Federal agency grant funding opportunity notifications, communicating with agency representatives, and searching through government agency websites for grant information.
- Ensure that all agency application portals (city, state, and federal) are maintained with up-to-date information on NYP.
- Work with the insurance, accounting, and legal teams to prepare and file entity-wide documentation.
- Assist the Grants Manager and Grant Writer (s) with documents for applications.
- Advising Grants Manager on processes, procedures and background relating to contracts
- Work with the Vice President of Government and Community Affairs and Senior Director of Government Affairs and Grants for signatures and other approvals on all related documents and applications.
- Coordinate and assist colleagues across NYP divisions to produce and file work plans, certifications and contracts that are part of the post award process to meet program requirements and goals.
- Process all grant renewals, contract extensions and budget modifications as required.
- Submit all documents for legal review following the approval of the Vice President.
- Provide staff in the Office of Legal Affairs with all necessary documents and other information pertinent to the grant.
- Track and monitor the contracts and grant-related documents under review in the Office of Legal Affairs.
- Coordinate responses to questions and inquiries from the Office of Legal Affairs related to all grant requirements.
- Assist the Grants Manager and Senior Director of Government Affairs and Grants with the preparation of reports and summaries as needed.
- Assist the Grants Manager and Grant Writers with presentations to internal and external audiences on the nature of grants and how to apply for grants.
- Maintain up-to-date information in the grants management database (Salesforce).
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Grants Manager or Director of Government Affairs and Grants.
Preferred Criteria:
- Master’s Degree in a related discipline
- Grant budget management experience
Required Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills – possesses verbal and written skills to convey mission and purpose to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, and able to work with diverse community groups and multi-task
- Proficiency with MS Office

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:
