Support Our Community

The NewYork-Presbyterian Manhattan Cancer Services Program in the Division of Community and Population Health aims to increase adherence to cancer screening among uninsured adults in the communities of Manhattan. We partner with community and faith-based organizations to educate leaders and community members about the importance of cancer screening to prevent or find cancer in its earliest stages.  We provide access to no-cost cancer screening, diagnostic and referral to treatment through education, outreach, navigation and case management services.

Program Coordinator – Women’s Cancer Screening - Columbia - GrantFunded

Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will play a key role in identifying, educating, and navigating individuals in need of cancer screening and follow-up services. This position involves working closely with our Cancer Patient Navigation team, Primary Care Providers, and community-based organizations to maximize impact and reduce health disparities. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing education, outreach, and administrative tasks, including identifying patients in need of screenings, assisting with appointments, and addressing barriers to care. The role also involves managing data, reporting outcomes, and collaborating with case managers and clinical partners to ensure program efficiency, improve patient adherence, and enhance overall community health. Your efforts will contribute to providing innovative care and support, extending critical health services to hundreds of individuals while reducing disparities in cancer care.

This is a grant funded position.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in community facing  outreach, education and engagement.
  • Experience with public health program design and evaluation
  • Experience with data management and analysis
  • Engagement experience with a wide range of underserved communities
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills – possesses verbal and written skills to convey mission and purpose to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$64,350-$89,000/Annual
