Program Coordinator – Community Outreach
The Outreach Coordinator in the Division of Community and Population Health will work with the Outreach team to develop and implement health events throughout New York City and Westchester county, targeting populations managing chronic conditions and facing barriers to accessing care. You will join a dynamic team that bridges clinical and community health, responding to needs as they arise in a manner that is culturally sensitive and respectful. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with community-based organizations and other key leaders in order to maximize community involvement and leverage community strengths. Developing internal relationships is also key to this role, as we collaborate with NYP experts including nurses, physicians, and community health program staff. The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable, able to travel to and work on events in diverse locations, and able to accommodate evening and weekend hours. Data collection, analysis, and communication are important to this position as we work to improve the quality of our offerings. There should also be a willingness and desire to work with a small, tight-knit team and support the administrative needs of the group as necessary, including processing invoices. This is an exciting opportunity to work both on the frontlines and behind the scenes of community health.
Preferred Criteria
- Familiarity with at least one of NYP's community service plan priority neighborhoods: University Heights, Corona, Crown Heights, Lower East Side, Washington Heights, Mount Vernon, and Peekskill
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with community resources addressing the social determinants of health
- Project management or project coordination experience
- Experience planning and executing events
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation; experience creating and maintaining databases and dashboards
- Spanish/English Bilingual
- Ability to facilitate outdoor events which will include event setup and breakdown
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience
- Verbal and written skills to convey mission and purpose to internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, ability to work with diverse community groups and multi-task
- Excellent writing and communication skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:
