Perfusionist - Rotating Shifts

Step into the Perfusion Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, and be a catalyst for life-saving clinical care. Join our team of 30 Perfusionist’s in providing extracorporeal circulation/cardiopulmonary support to patients until they’re able to maintain their own circulatory support. Be an ambitious team member, working varying hours alongside operating room professionals who are committed to correcting patients conditions as quickly and effectively as possible. Inject medications using a heart-lung machine. Perform ancillary duties, such as cell saving, ECMO, VAD, plasma saving and IABP. Participate in performance improvement initiatives inspired by our mission: Putting Patients First.

Preferred

• Prior clinical perfusion experience

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from a recognized college or university or Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in an accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion and completed the case requirements to sit for the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Board

New Grads:

• NYS Limited Permit in Perfusion

• Must obtain American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Board Certification and NYS License within two years of employment

Non-New Grads:

• Board Certified in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
