Per Diem Nurse Instructor - 8am to 5pm - PACU - Columbia University Irving Medical Center
Join a patient focused tight-knit team of nurse educators led by a dynamic leader, responsible for staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing and mandated education. Promote a culture that values the personal and professional growth and development of nurses. Use your nursing experience and education in a meaningful way by guiding the next generation of top-talent PACU nurses!
Conduct clinical rounds. Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach classes, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., online learning modules). Promote best clinical practices. Inspire award-winning nurses. Regularly evaluate staff competencies, and provide clinical mentorship and career guidance.
This is a per diem position at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Preferred Criteria
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification
Required Criteria
Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
Minimum of 4 years of related clinical experience
Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
ACLS and BCLS certifications
