Nuclear Medicine Technologist - CNYPAI- Full Time - Days

Combining the academic distinction of ColumbiaDoctors and clinical resources of NewYork-Presbyterian,Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) was created to expand outpatient services in Radiology and imaging using MRI and PET CT. Utilizing cutting-edge technology with some of the world’s most respected experts in the field, CNYPAI’s mission is to diagnose and treat a range of diseases and conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed, as well as to further transform research efforts to improve health in individuals and populations, while holding the highest of standards for the patient experience.  

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, we’ll depend on you to handle, prepare, administer and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals. You’ll perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety. You’ll obtain and distribute medical records as needed, while collaborating with leading radiology physicians to provide integrated and expert evaluation of each patient.

Preferred Criteria

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR)
  • New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiography License with contrast and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)
  • Previous experience in PET/CT, PET/CT Cardiology and research
  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist 
  • IV insertion/Isotope injection
  • Prior experience working with GE equipment 

Required Criteria

  • New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board CT (NMTCB (CT)) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) if candidate does not have (ARRT)(CT).
  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or A.S. or B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health with contrast injection
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
