Manager of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy:

In this role, the Manager will direct the delivery of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy services for the NYPH campuses across the Columbia sphere. Is responsible for the oversight of the religious, pastoral, and spiritual care offered to all patients, their loved ones and hospital employees. May manage programs of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education in accordance with acknowledged professional standards. This is a professional position with supervisory responsibilities for department staff.

Required Criteria

  • Master's degree, or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent education
  • Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains/Board of Chaplaincy Certification, Inc., the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Neshama: the Association of Jewish Chaplains, and/or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care—including four units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (or equivalent)
  • At least three years’ experience in chaplaincy leadership, administration, and budget oversight
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal-communication expertise
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful, diverse, and inclusive team
  • Passion for providing direct spiritual care as needed
  • Availability for evening, overnight, and weekend on-call occasionally

Preferred Criteria

  • ACPE Certified Educator Bilingual / Proficiency in Spanish

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:

$127,000-$142,500/Annual
