Join our Cytogenetics team as a Laboratory Technologist at NYP. Our full-service genetics laboratory offers you the ability to specialize in the latest techniques such as FISH and microarray testing, while using state-of-the-art equipment -- including automated metaphase finding and karyotyping systems. In this versatile facility, you'll perform tasks in pre- and post-natal genetics for genetic counseling. Collaborating with the finest healthcare professionals in the city, you'll be challenged to continue your education and stay at the forefront of the genetics field. Experience life at our fast-paced hospital. 

This position is from 9:00am - 5:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm, including one Saturday per month. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria

·         Minimum of 2 years experience in Prenatal Cytogenetics

·         Experience with fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH)

·         ASCP certification 

Required Criteria

·         Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum)

·         Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department
