We work closely with children of all ages and their families to develop a customized, team-based treatment approach that meets each child's unique needs and achieves outcomes that improve their mobility, recreational play, social engagement, and quality of life.
Are you a seasoned pediatric physical therapist ready to take the next step in your career? Our hospital is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Head PT to lead a dynamic team across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a unique opportunity to shape care delivery, mentor clinicians, and make a lasting impact on children and their families. This person will lead our staff of 14+ physical therapists within our Pediatric physical therapy area, provide patient care, collaborate across disciplines to ensure the highest quality of patient care, and support strategic initiatives within NYP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership ability, and a deep understanding of child development. The head Physical Therapist will also oversee and help grow several standout programs, including: Early Mobilization for medically complex children; NICU Follow-Up services supporting developmental outcomes; Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program integrating respiratory and mobility care; Bridge to Early Intervention (EI) to ensure seamless transitions for infants and toddlers, among others.
This is a full-time position, day-flex shift, working Monday- Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with a weekend and holiday commitment located at the Morgan Stanley Children Hospital campus.
Preferred Criteria:
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Membership.
3-5 years supervisory or management experience, including experience with mentoring staff, program development, quality and safety focus, crisis management, and adaptability.
Experience treating across the continuum of care within Pediatrics
Prior participation in Quality improvement initiatives and Knowledge of JCAHO standards.
Advanced Pediatric assessment skills, evidence-based treatment planning, experience in working with an interdisciplinary team, and a family-centric approach.
Required Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Minimum of five years of experience as a practicing Pediatric Physical Therapist with one year in the area specialty as a Senior Physical Therapist.
Demonstrates competency in clinical skills consistent with the level of education, training, and experience.
New York State Physical Therapy license.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Salary Range:
