The Comprehensive Health Program (CHP) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality primary care to people living with HIV (PLWH) or at risk for HIV, as well as patients with other infectious diseases.
There are currently over 3000 patients receiving comprehensive, multidisciplinary healthcare for HIV, hepatitis C, sexually transmitted infections, and other infectious conditions at CHP. Our Prevention Services (PrEP and PEP) offer treatment, screening and testing for thousands of patients annually.
Services are provided predominately in Spanish with an emphasis on comprehensive medical and psychosocial care, as well as patient education, adherence promotion, care coordination, and family-centered interventions in an outpatient setting.
The RN’s responsibilities will include but is not limited to supporting the department’s missions and goals; providing patient education about HIV and care, medication & treatment adherence, serving as the subject matter expert for clinical practice, workflow and triaging; rotating as the charge nurse which includes daily assignments & work flow.
The RN will use evidence-based literature to advise & support appropriate practices; will work collaboratively with all team members to maintain open, respectful communication, provide timely & appropriate quality patient care.

This is a full time position. Monday 11a.m. -7:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Hours may vary depending on operational needs.
Preferred:
Bilingual English /Spanish
Certification in Ambulatory Care
2-3 years experience in HIV care and prevention
Ambulatory Care experience
Required:
At least one year of acute care Medical/Surgical experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current New York State RN license
BLS certification through the AHA

Salary Range:
