Assistant Head OT (Outpatient) / Full-time / Day Shift

Under the supervision of the Manager of Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation and Licensed Creative Arts Therapy, performs all OT duties and assists the Head OT in the supervision and administration of the Outpatient OT Department. In addition, responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients as directed. This position is for Outpatient OT Department services for patients who have post-surgical hand, wrist and elbow conditions, subacute orthopedic conditions. In addition, we offer programs in for patients requiring Head and Neck rehabilitation and Neurorehabilitation.
The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., with weekends/holidays coverage.
Preferred:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
 - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification.
 - AOTA Membership.
 - Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
 
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
 - New York State Occupational Therapy License.
 - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
 - Minimum of five years of experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist with a minimum of three years of experience in the rehabilitation of post-surgical and other related diagnoses of the elbow, wrist, and hand.
 - Demonstrates competency in clinical skills consistent with the level of education, training, and experience.
