Clinical Engineering Manager

Across three of our six state-of-the-art campuses, your leadership will drive the technical and administrative success of our Biomedical Engineering Department, as you work with clinicians and operations staff at a variety of levels. Train, supervise and evaluate a tight-knit team of 10, and foster a family-like culture where everyone celebrates each other’s successes. Help repair biomedical engineering equipment, while ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance standards. Prepare and monitor operating budgets. Perform purchasing and requisition activities, and manage service contracts.    

Seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional team management and delegation skills, capable of thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment.

The shift schedule is 3p - 11p Monday to Friday with on-call rotation. 100% onsite at Columbia site.

Ideal Criteria

  • 5 years of experience as a biomedical technician or service engineer, with two years in a leadership role
  • BMET certification
  • Master’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering       

Required Criteria

  • 2 years of experience as a biomedical technician or service engineer  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills to direct work, drive engagement and instill trust

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Salary Range:

$109,000-$117,500/Annual
