Training & Support Representative

As a Training and Support Representative, you will support the Central Billing Office, working with leadership and others to enhance performance improvement and provide continuing education to achieve organizational goals. This position plays a key role in the efficient and effective financial operations of the hospital by providing training to CBO and front-end users.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Two (2) years of experience in revenue cycle operations, including experience in communication, facilitation, and training within a multi-specialty setting preferred.

Required Criteria:

  • Must have knowledge of strategic planning, team development, customer service, project management and adult learning principles and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge and experience with health care requirements, regulations, and standards.

  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle process; Patient registration, billing, payment posting, denial tracking/resolution, accounts receivable, local/state/federal regulations, Fair Debt and Collection Practice Act, medical terminology, and payer contract familiarity.

  • Computer and systems competency in the following areas: working knowledge of health systems and interfaces, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and electronic health records.

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with both registration workflows and revenue cycle process. guarantor account maintenance, patient balance statements and any basic billing related questions from staff or patients

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA Standards and Policies.

  • Understanding of medical terminology.

  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

  • Ability to provide assistance, guidance, and constructive feedback to Training & Support Team members.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, and high accuracy.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$29.18-$32.35/Hourly
