Technician EEG I – Weekends - Nights - Cornell Campus
The Epilepsy Center at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center is a Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, a prestigious designation by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers and the highest rank attainable. Our center offers the latest cutting-edge treatment for both adults and children. New York-Presbyterian has a distinguished history of transformative innovation. Founded in 1909, our Neurological Institute was the first in North America. Now, we're seeking a highly skilled Technician to serve as an integral part of our team.
Our Epilepsy Center provides a multidisciplinary approach to the complex medical and social needs of patients with seizures and is certified by the NYDOH to carry out long-term video-EEG monitoring and epilepsy surgery for patients with intractable epilepsy. As a Neuroscience Technologist, you will perform a variety of state-of-the-art studies and serve as a vital resource to patients, physicians, and technologists. This is a full-time position working 4 shifts per week, Friday - Monday.
Fridays + Mondays - 11pm - 7am, Saturdays 7pm - 7am, Sundays 8pm-7am. Rotating holidays.
Preferred Criteria
·Minimum 1-3 years previous experience in Neurophysiology (EEG or post EEG internship)
·Knowledge of Software system Natus, XLTEK preferred
·Ability to work with collodion or willingness to learn use of collodion
·Ability to work with all age groups, including Neonates
·Ability to work in ICU settings
·ABRET registered, or eligible to sit for the boards
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree or graduation from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostics technology training program (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Accredited) OR graduation from an American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) approved Electroneurodiagnostics (END) training program.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
