Support Services Supervisor - Patient Transport - Cornell - Day Shift
The Transport Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the transport department at Weill Cornell Medical Center and David H. Cohen Hospital. In this role, you will oversee the efficient and effective movement of patients, equipment, and staff while maintaining high standards of service and patient satisfaction. You'll manage employee schedules, including daily staffing assignments, time-off requests to ensure optimal coverage and workflow efficiency. In addition, lead daily huddles, provide direction, and support to Transport staff to foster a collaborative work environment. Partner closely with nursing leadership and other departments to align transport services with hospital needs and priorities. Additionally, conduct regular rounds to monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any issues in real-time. Drive department performance metrics, including turnaround time, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Oversee the management and maintenance of transport equipment, such as wheelchairs, stretchers, ensuring all items are in good working condition and readily available.
This is a full time, day shift position from 8:00am-4:00pm, with rotating weekend coverage.
Preferred Criteria
- Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart
Required Criteria
- Associate's degree from a recognized college or university or equivalent experience
- 2 years of previous work related experience
- Basic knowledge of EVS, laundry, or waste management operations, preferably in a large institution
- Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards and Quality Assurance

Salary Range:
