Supervisor Healthcare Technology Logistics

Position Summary

Plans, coordinates, and supervises daily activities of assigned departments to ensure effective and efficient operations of medical equipment and technology logistics centers.

Essential  Job Duties

  • Plans, administers, and oversees the activities of the personnel engaged in healthcare technology management logistics operations. Establishes work schedules and priorities ensuring effective utilization of personnel. Addresses job-related inquiries, responds to issues and takes corrective actions. Recommends and implements personnel actions as required.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, assists in the development of departmental policies and procedures, and upon approval, implements strategic course of actions in order to enhance operations. Monitors staff compliance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and takes action as needed to drive compliance.
  • Coordinates appropriate Quality Assurance programs and conducts follow-ups to ensure effectiveness of operations. Recommendations strategies, guidelines, and approaches to facilitate or improve administrative systems and operations.
  • Acts as liaison between Healthcare Technology Management and clinical staff regarding patient care supply and equipment needs. Represents department in internal, external, and cross-enterprise meetings.
  • Maintains effective communications with all levels of hospital personnel, outside agencies, and vendors to resolve departmental challenges and implement changes for improved services.
  • Identifies and submits goals and objectives for approval. Monitors progress to ensure successful outcomes of approved goals.
  • Promotes a Lean work culture by encouraging consistent use of LEAN principles and processes; includes value creation through process improvements, waste and defect elimination, and consistent quality achievements.
  • Maintains safety standards to ensure maximum protection for patients and staff.
  • Performs all duties inherent to managerial role. Participates in hiring, training, evaluation and termination of assigned staff according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Please note that this is an onsite position reporting to NYP/The One 1111 Westchester Ave, White Plains, NY 10604.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of work-related experience
  • Windows based computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain technology knowledge
  • Labor relations experience

$68,500-$96,500/Annual
