As part of its commitment to advancing health equity, NewYork‑Presbyterian’s Dalio Center for Health Justice is offering paid graduate internship opportunities for Summer 2026.

Program Overview

The Summer 2026 Graduate Internship Program offers selected candidates the opportunity to engage in impactful, hands‑on health equity work supporting hospital‑ and community‑based initiatives. This is a 10‑week paid internship designed for graduate students pursuing careers in healthcare leadership, public health, and health justice.

These exciting internship opportunities will take place from June 1 - August 7, 2026 on site in New York, NY. June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Role & Responsibilities

Interns will support health equity initiatives across multiple programs, including but not limited to:

  • PANDA Program (Pediatric and Maternal Health Programs):
    Supporting work focused on addressing pediatric andmaternal health disparities and improving outcomes across multiple populations.
  • Social Determinants of Health Screening and Support (Onsite):
    Assisting in the implementation and support of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) screening, with a particular focus on food insecurity interventions.

Interns may also assist with:

  • Program evaluation, data collection, and reporting
  • Cross‑departmental collaboration with clinical and operational teams
  • Health equity research, evaluation, and presentation preparation
  • Community‑based and hospital‑driven health justice initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current MHA, MPH, or MBA graduate candidates
  • Prior experience in healthcare settings or community‑based organizations
  • Interest in or experience with health equity, population health, or health justice

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of at least one year of a graduate program by the start of the internship
  • Current enrollment in an accredited graduate program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated capability to perform basic statistical analysis
