NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Division of Community and Population Health programs work in partnership with community-based organizations and healthcare teams to advance health equity, empowering patients and community members across New York City and Westchester County.
The Maternal and Child Health Program represents a collaborative of services designed to improve health, development, and wellness outcomes for the maternal-infant dyad.
The Mother and Baby Bus is a mobile health unit, funded through the March of Dimes, aiming to be a bridge care for family planning, pregnancy, post-partum and newborn care for women and birthing persons not connected to healthcare, especially those that are undocumented and experiencing homelessness.
The Mobile Medical Unit for sexual health & HIV care is also a grant funded program dedicated to providing the highest quality care to people living with HIV (PLWH) or at risk for HIV, as well as people with other infectious diseases. This mobile unit will provide a bridge to care for people in the community who may not yet be connected to healthcare needing HIV & sexual health services.
As a Registered Nurse on the mobile bus, you will work together with the Nurse Practitioner & other team members to provide patient education, care & services to OB/GYN, postpartum women and newborns as well as to patients with HIV and other infectious diseases needing sexual health education and services.
