Speech-LanguagePathologist - Part Time - Cornell Campus

At NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center, ourSpeech-LanguagePathologists help patients experiencing serious impairments connect with the world around them. Our team uses evidence-based practice and available technology to address swallowing, cognitive, and communication issues which allows us to provide high quality, patient-centered care, and ensure the best outcomes.  

In this position, you will be apartof a multi-disciplinary team with opportunities to work across the adult acute care setting with various diagnoses and patient complexity. This position will also help provide coverage on the inpatient rehabilitation unit and outpatient settings when needed. 

This position will work 4 ½ days per week, Monday through Friday with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage. 

Preferred Criteria

• 2 years of acute care experience, including ICU

• Competency with MBSS and/or FEES

• Specialized training in dysphagia and communication evaluations and treatment 

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree inSpeech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university

• Licensure as aSpeechPathologistby the State of New York within one year of hire

• Certification inSpeech-Language Pathology by the AmericanSpeechand Hearing Association within one year of hire

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

• Knowledge ofSpeechPathology
