As part of our tight-knit team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide outstanding, compassionate care to newborn babies in NewYork-Presbyterian’s Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns.
The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a leader in providing personalized and supportive care. This 222,000 square foot facility occupies the top five-and-a-half floors of the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center and features: 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms. It is the first facility in New York City to have MRI capabilities and an operating room in its neonatal intensive care unit.
Here you will evaluate, plan, and provide feeding, swallowing and communication treatment programs within the neonatal ICU. Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced acute care setting is necessary.
Seeking an experienced neonatal therapist. Worked hours are from 7:30a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Includes intermittent weekend and holiday coverage. Weekday shifts available as well.
Preferred Criteria
· 2 years of NICU experience, within a Level III or IV NICU
· Certified Neonatal Therapist
· Competency in Modified Barium Swallow studies with the pediatric population
· Regular weekday availability
Required Criteria
· Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
· Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association
· New York State licensure
· Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
