Quality Management (QM) Specialist

Apply your nursing or physician assistant expertise to another vital role in patient care. As a QM Specialist, you'll review patient charts for compliance-related incidents while contributing to outcome studies and IRB sanctioned research. You'll participate in department and hospital committees, patient care evaluation, performance and quality improvement, risk management and educational programs. You'll work closely with Quality and Nursing leadership across our university hospital, publishing data that impacts quality of care for patients from across the world. 

Preferred Criteria

• PA, RN or NP candidates are strongly preferred

Required Criteria 

• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Basic Knowledge of performance improvement concepts and desktop computing skills
• Ability to review and interpret clinical cases for timeliness, efficacy, appropriateness, and efficiency of care
• Knowledge of basic concepts of the structure and processes for maintaining a performance improvement and patient safety program
• Understanding of basic principles of scientific data collection and analysis
